The Musical honors the life of Alexander Hamilton, conceptualized and composed by the multi-talented Lin-Manuel Miranda, based off the 2004 biography of Ron Chernow. It tells the real times of Hamilton himself in a ‘hipper’ format, being dedicated to the events behind Hamilton's life but with creative direction and musical scoring that makes Hamilton highly entertaining. The show actually began off Broadway in August of 2015 and was quickly met with astounding reviews for its debut. Along with a number of press articles and reviewers, The Washington Post, called it “making ecstatic history”, as Hamilton’s premiere with its astounding cast which included the likes of the musical's creator Miranda himself in the title role and Tony Award winner Jonathan Groff, impressed audiences in its first performance with a brilliant opening night. Hamilton went on over the next decade to win 11 Tony Awards from sixteen nominations, plus Olivier, Grammy, and Pulitzer Prize Awards.

Ever since its debut, the Musical has toured to be performed in several locations across the world, where it has been getting continuously positive reviews. BroadwayWorld calls Hamilton “the hottest ticket in town”, as it appeals to a bigger range in audience because of being understandable to both the more seasoned generations who appreciate the history behind Hamilton, and the newer generations that hears about the fresh and innovative approach behind Hamilton. Over in London’s West End, TimeOut mentions their worry behind the production being overly hyped up, but that “Lin-Manuel Miranda’s musical about Alexander Hamilton, the first secretary of the U.S. Treasury, is actually better than the hype suggests”. Even just recently with a touring cast in its Manila, Philippines’ performance, PEP PH describes Hamilton as a “visual and sensory feast that adds layers of depth to the narrative”; “This musical is a masterpiece not because it tells a flawless story, but because it brilliantly captures the essence of the imperfect human experience, and in doing so, it achieves perfection on the stage”, they stated.

Both critics and viewers alike agree that the Musical is a must-watch this fall as it picks up its performances all over America.
